Multifamily Rooftop Garden | Chicago, IL

After completing the Lake Point Tower Master Plan, Hitchcock Design Group was retained by the Lake Point Tower Condominium Association to assist with the restoration of this one of a kind rooftop garden. Due to the in depth research that was conducted during the assembly of the Historic Preservation Approach and Treatment Plan for the site as well as the Condominium Association’s continuing goal to restore and preserve this historic landscape and community asset, the transition from planning to implementation was a natural progression. Improvements consist of developing construction documents for critical roof deck infrastructure repairs (underdrainage, flashing repair and irrigation), seating areas and council rings, outdoor grill improvements, accessible hardscape and paths, as well as new pedestrian and accent lighting, site furnishings and plantings. Four phases of the five year implementation plan have been completed.
