Navistar World Headquarters | Lisle, Illinois

Hitchcock Design Group was contracted to assist with site master planning, zoning and entitlement for truck manufacturer Navistar Corporation’s new world headquarters. The design and planning activities took into account Navistar’s needs for executive offices and research and development facilities on this developed, 80-acre commercial site formerly owned by Alcatel-Lucent. Among HDG’s challenges for this property was to create a unique aesthetic identity for the campus that would accurately reflect the global manufacturer’s personality and world-class operations. HDG designers responded with monument signage, water features, outdoor recreation areas, and native prairie and wetland restoration plantings to provide an appropriately balanced outdoor setting for Navistar employees, neighbors, and the Lisle community.
